Consumers are yearning for home goods that evoke simpler days and provide a great value for their families, according to Kincaid Furniture. The company’s new Evergreen collection is made of Appalachian pine in Hudson, N.C., and includes a four-drawer chest (about $1,275), a queen panel bed ($1,125) and a nightstand ($507). Inspired by National Geographic’s archives of 18th and 19th century exploration across the East African landscape, the Tanzania collection mixes a dark, hand-waxed finish with antiqued brass accents for a rich and exotic look.
